HIMMERLAND GOLF & SPA RESORT - NEW COURSE

The ambitious renovation of the New Course at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort is the biggest and most comprehensive golf course renovation project ever carried out in Denmark. The aim was to improve the already highly regarded New Course into one of Europe's top golf courses by rebuilding all greens, bunkers and most tees to the highest standards. At the same time the course strategy was fine-tuned and a more memorable visual character was achieved throughout the course. After 12 months of construction the course reopened in 2012 to great reviews. The course is host to the annual Made in Denmark tournament on the European Tour and the quality of the renovation work was recognized as the course was named among the Golf Inc. ‘Renovation of the Year Award’ winners in 2012.
