COUNTY LOUTH GOLF CLUB

Baltray, Ireland

County Louth Golf Club, or Baltray as it is more affectionately known, is one of the great golf courses of the world. Located on prime linksland on the Irish east coast it attracts golfers from all over the world. The course, originally laid out by famous golf course architect Tom Simpson in 1938, is rated in Golf Digest’s top 100 courses in the world, the top 25 courses in the British Isles and the top 6 in Ireland. Since 2012 we have helped the club in regards to updating the golf course in the spirit of Tom Simpson. As a result, changes have been carried out on holes 2 and 5 as well as the creation of an alternate green on hole 17. All changes have been necessary to improve a deteriorating turf quality due to the wear and tear of modern day golfers. The course hosted European Tour tournaments in 2004 and 2009. The club dates back to 1892.
